Queerty says ‘Glow Me is a glow-in-the-dark underwear party. Complete with black lights, florescent body paint, and UV reflective clothing, Glow Me is full of tatted up leather daddies and their doting pups stripped down...’
Glow Me creator Matt Mullins explains, ‘The idea for this party came into my head in 1998. I was a underground rave promoter in SoCal, and I always thought that it would be hot to throw a rave for gay men in which all the men could paint each other up and get personal and close with eachother. In 2014, I started seeing my partner Dan Lovell. We realized it was time do this party now. Dan felt it was a great idea for a party but he said it needs more character. So we added the video game theme and playable 8 or 16 bit classic video games. For health code reasons we decided we would hire three professional body paint and make up artists come do the make up our attendees for free. Please remember to tip the artists, bartenders and our clothes check.
In an effort to make our community happier and healthier,
part of the Cover Charge, Jello Shots and Coat Check money goes to the Highland Gay Youth Center. At the last Glow Me we sent $130 to help get the homeless and at risk Gay Youth in Los Angeles food, lodgings, school supplies, std screening, and many other types of support.
Thanks for supporting Glow Me.
