The London WALKIES are friendly, informal, social walks in and around London to which everyone (especially human pups and owners or handlers) is welcome. Walks are typically held once a month and usually cover about 6-7 miles, normally ending up at a pub. There is no dress code, but you're more than welcome to turn up in leather, rubber, plushy pup kit etc. according to weather and inclination. Of course, leads and collars are recommended for responsible pup walkers.
The 24th London WALKIES on Saturday 12th December 2015 will be an approximately 6.5 km walk from Finsbury Park station via Clissold Park to New River Head, mostly along the "heritage section" of the New River Path.
We will meet at Stroud Green Road / Station Place outside Finsbury Park station at 13:00. There do not seem to be any planned engineering works at Finsbury Park on National Rail or London Underground.
From Finsbury Park station, we will walk down Queen's Drive to Clissold Park. From there, the New River Path is a mixture of streets and linear parks following the former course of the aqueduct to New River Head (off Rosebery Avenue, near Sadler's Wells).
The end of the WALKIES is near Angel underground station and reasonably close to Kings Cross & St Pancras.
